2016 RCV 'Stoneflower' Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon
The third in our series of labels by renowned South Australian artist Tom Gleghorn, the 'Stoneflower' painting depicts the magnificent Australian outback landscape where spectacular wildflowers grow in abundance following seasonal rains.
Tom Gleghorn was Reillys' artist in residence during the 2010 vintage and has previously allowed the use of two original paintings being 'The Dancer' and 'Epitaph' on our most premium wines.
This 2016 Merlot Cabernet Sauvignon is our second release and is 90% Merlot blended with 10% Cabernet Sauvignon.
Traditional winemaking techniques of handpicking, prolonged cold soaking, and open fermentation are used to retain the delicate flavours of this premium fruit.
With an aromatic nose of ripe summer berries, the palate is luscious with red berries, hints of chocolate and vanilla, rounded out with silky tannins on a lingering finish.
